Edwin Wijkhuijs is a seasoned hospitality leader whose career spans more than three decades across Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, with senior leadership experience in the Middle East, Europe, the Pacific, South Asia, and North America. He currently serves as Cluster General Manager at Marriott International in Jeddah, overseeing Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Jeddah Hotel and the Red Sea Beach Club.


Throughout his career, Edwin Wijkhuijs has led hotel openings, renovations, repositioning projects, and turnaround assignments, combining operational discipline with strategic vision. His experience includes managing complex, multi-property operations, driving profitability, and improving market share while maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.

At Sheraton Jeddah, he coordinated a full renovation of the bedrooms, lobby, and meeting facilities, helping reposition the hotel and improve performance. He has also worked on feasibility, design, and development initiatives for new hotels and resorts in western Saudi Arabia in partnership with Marriott International.


His earlier leadership roles include General Manager at Sheraton Jeddah Hotel, Cluster General Manager in Sharjah, Hotel Manager at Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam, and senior food and beverage leadership roles in Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, New Zealand, and the United States. He studied at Hotelschool de Rooi Pannen, Tilburg, and holds certifications in F&B Controls and Certified Food & Beverage Professional from the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
