Youssef I.

Youssef I. is an operations‑driven executive chef and director of operations, shaping guest experiences, food systems and multi‑outlet performance across international hospitality markets. Operating at the intersection of culinary innovation, large‑scale management and franchise development, he blends Levantine roots, fine dining expertise and strategic business thinking to deliver concepts that are both experientially rich and commercially resilient.

Current role and operational scope

Youssef currently serves as Corporate Executive Chef at AL Mal United Trading in Saudi Arabia, leading the culinary and operational direction of a portfolio of outlets across multiple cities and formats. In this role, he oversees food preparation standards, employee training, central kitchen workflows and cross‑functional coordination, making sure each brand and unit operates with consistent quality, cost discipline and guest‑focused service.

His remit spans the full F&B lifecycle—from menu engineering and product development to food factory operations, franchise rollouts and performance monitoring—anchored in experience managing more than 22 outlets across Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia and the UAE. By aligning food cost, operational efficiency and concept integrity with guest satisfaction, Youssef supports leadership in positioning AL Mal United Trading’s brands as competitive, scalable players in the regional hospitality landscape.

Culinary leadership, concept development and guest experience

Across his recent roles, Youssef has showcased a strong focus on building and sustaining multi‑outlet concepts rather than single‑restaurant kitchens, moving comfortably between steakhouse R&D, hotel environments and high‑volume operations. His tenure with brands such as Gurkan Sef SteakHouse and Mirage Hotel Kazan, alongside executive chef positions at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts and Trend in Russia, reflects a career built on launching, standardizing and elevating diverse dining experiences.

He collaborates closely with ownership and F&B leadership on business plans, cash‑flow analysis, budgeting, kitchen and restaurant design, menu creation, wine list and pricing strategies, ensuring that each outlet balances creativity with commercial logic. Beyond the pass, his emphasis on training, systems layout and guest satisfaction helps translate back‑of‑house discipline into front‑of‑house consistency, making operations feel seamless for both teams and guests.
